Firstly wish you all a very Happy Diwali and a Healthy & Prosperous year ahead. Diwali, the word itself brings to mind the beautifully lit diyas, multicoloured lanterns, crackers, the intricate n vibrant rangoli, the aroma of sweets, the lodes of shopping and festive n colourful clothing....and girls n women of all ages trying to look their best :) and when it comes to luking good, makeup can't can far behind can it? :) so here is a quick eye makeup to welcome this festive season.
The one colour that is an insaperable part of Diwali is "Gold" so how can I leave it out. I know those who use very subtle makeup must've flinched at the mention of this colour :) worry not here is a very simple look that I've conjeered up that is easy to replicate, simple, elegant and also dose not look gaudy or bold and so is easy to carry but there's a catch, it only n only looks best with a Smile ;D
I've done a Gold and the second most popular colour "Pink" for this look but you can team up the gold with absolutely any other colour, dark blue, maroon, peacock green, magenta, murve or even Peach for a very subtle look.
Step1: Apply you concealer n foundation
Step 2: Use a eye primer if you have one else just simply use a dab of vaseline just so that there is less fallout n colour stands out.
Always use a brush for precision but in this look since we babes don't have time to get ready ourselves after getting the family ready, I've done it quickly using my finger tips.
Step 3: I've use MAC Rose Suite eye-shadow duo, this is bright pink colour on the upper lid and lower lashline.
Step 4 :Dab Maybelline colour tatoo in Bold Gold in the inner corners of upper n lower lids n blend wid the pink. This gold is very subtle and is not very glittery, also can be teamed up with any colour as mentioned above.
Step 5: Contour the eyes by applying Max Factor smokey eye effect pen in Bronze Haze in the outer corners of the upper lids n hollow of the eye, use the brown for this process n blend well.
Step 6: Apply the other side of this pen, i.e. the beige colour to highlight and open up the eyes by applying it below the arch of your eyebrow....the way a liner enhances da eyes can be seen since one eye is liner the other is not.
Step 7: Apply a liner, I've applied a black one and have extended it outwards, also it is applied in a thick line that defines the eyes n finally topped it with my Clinique mascara in black.
Do curl your eyelases n if you done have a curler use a curling maskara wand or simply just bend your regular mascara wand a lil for get that lovely curling effect.
